The Renfrew Chamber of Commerce is a non-profit organization consisting of business-savvy volunteers and members whose goal is to develop and promote the town and surrounding community as a wonderful place to work, play, visit and live year-round.
Established in 1901, their mission statement reads, “The Renfrew & Area Chamber of Commerce is a member organization delivering value to our business community with a focus on advocacy, education and networking. We will be recognized as the Voice of Business for Renfrew and surrounding area, dedicated to working with stakeholders to help our community thrive.”
The Renfrew Chamber of Commerce 2013 Board of Directors consisted of 13 members and was headed up by Kent Tubman, President of Tubman Marketing Incorporated. Their funding is based mostly on membership fees of $175.00/year along with some assistance from fundraising as well as some backing from the Town of Renfrew to offset the costs of providing tourism and business information to visitors Monday through Friday.
The Board of Directors meets monthly to conduct business and organize special events.
